Horror Talk / Bloody Murder 2: Closing Camp (2003)
February 24, 2018, 01:09:40 AM
Bloody Murder 2: Closing Camp is not a good movie but is also not a completely terrible one if you can appreciate its obvious limitations in budget, talent and most other things that help to make a good movie.

Have you ever seen this movie?

Other Movies / Scary Movie 2 (2001)
February 23, 2018, 09:19:46 PM
There are plenty of funny moments, including a fantastic battle of wittiness between two differently handicapped people. There are also plenty of spoof scenes that fall flat too. Scary Movie 2 has its fun side but does lose steam before the movie concludes.

Did you enjoy this sequel?

Horror Talk / Candyman: Farewell To The Flesh (1995)

Tony Todd has a decent screen presence with his Candyman character but there's not much excitement when he's not on the screen. This sequel is quite mediocre.

Horror Talk / Psycho II (1983)
February 21, 2018, 09:53:15 PM
Psycho II is probably not as shocking as the original, at least for its time, but it is a better, more entertaining movie to watch overall.

What do you think of this sequel?

Horror Talk / Bloodstone: Subspecies II (1993)

I'm not particularly a fan of this series but my wife is so I will refrain from talking too much shit about it. Not exactly my cup of tea since I'm not massively into vampires but it does have its own dedicated cult following.

Horror Talk / Re: Fright Night Part 2 (1988)

Fo sho. It can be hard to get a legit copy of it as there is some legal thing surrounding it that makes it very unlikely to have proper dvd and bluray releases. But it was plenty available in the days of VHS and there are HD transfers of it that play through certain outlets on TV.

Other Movies / Batman Returns (1992)
February 19, 2018, 02:57:46 PM
Batman Returns is well-acted with great music and the action is quite exciting for a movie that is geared towards being family-friendly. I'm not a huge superhero fan, but I do really enjoy the first two Batman movies in this particular series.

Horror Talk / Fright Night Part 2 (1988)

Chris Sarandon was a more intriguing villain than the group of vampires that are featured in Fright Night Part 2. Despite that, fans of the first movie should be pleased enough with this follow-up.

The first one is good too. I slightly enjoy the sequel a little more though.

Other Movies / American Ninja 2: The Confrontation (1987)

American Ninja 2 is a good watch if you're in the mood to just sit back, chill and give your brain a 90 minute break with some mindless B-grade action. Steve James kicks ass and it's a shame he died so young.  [*cry*]

It's certainly not on the same level as the original, but has its quirky moments while Freddy is still scary and not a bumbling, power glove wielding buffoon as he is later reduced to in the franchise sequels.

What is your opinion of A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge?

Now that there's "supposedly" more than two genders out there... you can put "beer" on the birth certificate.

I guess it's like anything else... the more you do something, the better or more confident you will become at it and if you make mistakes, try to learn from them.

Horror Talk / Aliens (1986)
February 15, 2018, 10:16:50 AM
The pace has quickened over the original, includes a lot more action while maintaining plenty of engaging and suspenseful scenes.

How does Aliens compare to the original? Better, worse, same?
