Random Bullshit / Re: So what the hell have you been up to?

Hey, if I ever get the time and I'm able to get the FE podcast off the ground I could use a co-host if De never comes back. [*deal*]

I'd be up to join in if the times are workable.

The new upgrade should be able to eliminate the need to score it twice like that but for now, with the current design, that's how it works. Yet again another small issue that annoyed me that I should get rid of soon enough.

If my error handling code is working correctly, you'd probably also be seeing an error message on any movie page or movie database index page which tells you that you still need to add your rating for those movies. You've reviewed them but you also need to separately rate the movie as well, then it would should up on the homepage as a new review.

Btw, where did you end up watching? Did you get it from the place I suggested or you end up getting it elsewhere?

Thanks for reviewing. I was kind of glad to see the score go down so it no longer appears as the best rated movie on the site.  [*hehehmm*]

Television / Re: The Purge television series
« on: October 29, 2018, 12:55:13 PM »
I've been watching it on Prime. It's okay... it's kind of like a much more drawn out version of the movie but focusing on many different groups of characters. Each episode is something like 45 mins long and I think I've watched 7 episodes so far, so that's like 5 hours of watching all this shit happen on the same night. It is becoming quite a bit tedious, as you can imagine.

I really find it difficult to enjoy TV series anyway. I'm way more of a movie guy than anything else. I wonder how that will play into my enjoyment of Chucky in a TV series.  [*uhoh*]

Love the depth of the review. As per my comment on your Strangers: Prey at Night thread, you should add your review to the movie page (minus the play-by-play of events).

Good review. Y'know, you should add it to the actual movie page (minus your play-by-play of the events).  [*thumbsup*]

Horror Talk / Bone Tomahawk (2015)
« on: October 26, 2018, 10:12:31 AM »
The last half hour is rather exciting with surprise attacks, gore and finally some focus put on these maniacal cavemen. Despite the enjoyable latter parts of the movie, I didn't find it to be great enough to make up for the long ride that it took to get to that point. Bone Tomahawk is a decent watch, but I'd probably struggle to get through another long ride just to experience that final half hour again.

What did you think of Bone Tomahawk?

Horror Talk / Mandy (2018)
« on: October 12, 2018, 10:39:30 AM »
Mandy is a movie not like many others. It has a very dreamy (and eventually nightmarish) aura about it, and in a way it can come across as being a little pretentious with its drawn out, artistically shot scenes that may not have been completely necessary in the grand scheme of things. It starts off slow, which felt like it went on a bit longer than it should have before turning into a violent ride in the latter stages.

What are your thoughts on Mandy?

Video Games / Re: Friday the 13th: The Game
« on: October 10, 2018, 12:52:51 PM »
I see there has been some recent movement in that lawsuit...

But anyhoo, I finally picked up this game as the new Slasher Edition on PS4 which has all the previous DLC. It's a pretty fun game, despite it's rather repetitive nature. They've done a lot of good things with it. Definitely recommended for any people who play games that are either Friday the 13th fans or slasher fans in general.

Horror Talk / Double Daţe (2017)
« on: October 01, 2018, 11:54:37 PM »
Double Date has a fairly good presentation for a low budget movie which is carried mainly by its cast who do well but falls short of any breakout performances. It has some giggles and a couple of crazy scenes, but as a whole it's only an okay movie.

What did you think of this oddball horror comedy flick?

It's an okay movie, but was hyped up to be better than it is. And the French people are just weird.  [*odd*]

What do you think?

I knew it wasn't going to look exactly the same but it looks similar enough for me to not have any major gripes with it. I think there's something sinister about being ginger though and this one looks more brown than ginger.  [*hehehmm*]

I saw it a year or two ago, remember it being alright (maybe a 7) but don't remember it will enough to review it properly.
