I don't get this movie, I just don't see it as romantic. I prefer the original script where Richard Gere bangs her drug riddled ass for a week and drops her back on the curb afterwards.
I'm not familiar with the book so I don't know what parts might be close to it. I appreciated that they were able to modernise the story without being too woke. Thankfully it's not word for word of previous movies either which I often I think is lazy
This was hyped up online to be so scary people couldn't finish it. Well I couldn't finish it because I was so bored. In fairness I don't like possession/exorcism movies either.
