I was late night browsing and somehow came upon the old FE site.  Had a good trip down memory lane. I miss you boys.

Anyone else a fan? I've been binging lately and it's become my fav show in a while. It's not horror,  but a lot of directors could certainly learn a thing or two when it comes to being unsettling.

I'm sure some of you have already heard, but Kiefer Sutherland has replaced Solid Snakes long-running voice actor, who was fired today.

I'm not a huge fan of the Metal Gear games (3 is awesome though), but this struck me as interesting and a little disturbing. I'm a big supporter of voice actors and yet another one gets shafted for a Hollywood actor. Bleh.

Makes you wonder if bringing this place back was worth it, or did my girl problems drive everyone away?

I got a sort of job promotion recently and since then I just want to either work out or sleep when I get home. Plus I've been spending time with a friend who has been recovering from cancer.

(You thought I broke another laptop, didn't you?)

Because I think a girl might, and I'm not usually optimistic about this kind of thing.

I work at a supermarket. I pretty much keep to myself and have done for years there, so I don't converse with many of my co-workers beyond a simple "how are you"?

That has all changed with the arrival of this new girl, who I'll call Alice (mostly because that's her name).

It could just be that she's the super social type, but at various points during the day she'll approach me and want to know about me. I don't think it's quite flirtacious behaviour, but it's more friendlyness than I'm used to recieving from girls. And, I mean, she'll smile or laugh at everything I say...could be the awkardness I emit.

I'm mostly making this thread because the thread count could use some boosting, but I figured some of you may know women better than I.

[Martyrs (2008) [Holy shit, this was a much better film than I was expecting it to be. A torture (no, I'm not saying the full term) movie that decides to explore some truly deep territory. I love horror movies that have some actual layers to them, and every minute this one peeled off a new one. I actually disagree with Reign in Bloods comment though, I thought the second half was when things got great. I had dismissed Martyrs before, I wont be making that mistake again. I enjoyed making this thread at the old board, and although it didn't see much action, I'm trying it again.

For those who didn't see the old threads, you basically make a checklist of horror movies you have never seen, along with a mini-review and score. I found it a good way to motivate me to rack up more horrors.

You can make the checklist as long as you want it to be, but I'm going with the same 5 movies per checklist rule as last time.

Discussion on eachothers lists/reviews are highly encouraged.
