Horror Talk / Re: Some Kind of Hate (2015)

I don't know if I had expectations going in or not (I don't believe I heard about it prior to watching it), but  boy, with a flick with such potential, the final product is disheartening.

While the first thirty minutes of this flick are pretty enjoyable, the movie loses steam rather quickly past a certain point, and the end product really didn't amount to much, despite the well-done job of some of the main actors.

What say you on this supernatural horror film?

Horror Talk / Night Howl (2017)

Michael Taylor Pritt's fourth low-budget outing, Night Howl deeply improves upon his previously flicks, helped greatly by the efforts of Alana Mullins, who's character is deeply fun. While certainly not overly unique, Night Howl is a good film if you're into lower-budget stuff.

Have you come across this newer werewolf flick?

Though far more sluggish than what one would hope for, this character driven flick occasionally brings us some entertaining kills, along with a lot of snakes. Worth noting, seeing the extended version (105 minutes) may help the experience over the more common 90-minute version.

Have you chanced upon this snake-fueled horror flick?

Out of interest, what are some of your top 80's flicks, off the top of your head, puking king?

She was damn attractive in the film, no doubt.

(I'm just assuming 'thiccest' is a compliment, and rolling with it. You Brits and your slang.) [*laugh*]

If you go in with the wrong expectations, I can certainly imagine the movie would come across as much worse.

Like I said in my review, it took 30 minutes into the movie for me to realize I've seen it before. It's not a terrible movie, it's just not all that memorable, especially when there are so many great movies from the 1970's.

Solid movie all-around.  [*thumbsup*]

That said, there are some decent fan made ANOES shorts out there, if my memory serves me right.

I liked this one, I also like its remake.

I've not seen the 1978 remake, but I have heard multiple strong things about it. I have a hard time imagining I'll like it as much as I liked this one (a 9.5/10 is hard to beat), but hopefully, when I do see it, I'll find it solid.

While certainly possessing more than a few drawbacks (scenes that were a tad too silly), there's still plenty in this movie to lend the viewer an enjoyable experience, be it occasionally frightening scenes or a moderately interesting plot.

What did you think of this horror/comedy hybrid?

Horror Talk / Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)

An all-in-all amazing movie, Invasion of the Body Snatchers does a great job at exposing the horror one can feel in conformity, and almost flawless in execution, this horror/science-fiction flick is easily within the top horror films of the 1950's.

What say you on this classic movie?

At least it has a release.  [*laugh*]

Plenty of movies struggle to even get a DVD release, let alone Blu-Ray or Special Blu-Ray additions.

That's how I feel about a lot of newer lower-quality flicks. Distribution must be damn hard to get. I've seen some movies that have been released on DVD, but even after four, five years, still less than five votes on IMDb. A damn shame, I feel.
