Good; never go there if you enjoy whatever of your life you have left. It'll suck it right outta ya.

I think I may have been brainwashed by Reddit, which widely uses it.

Crash, I believe you claimed "Dummie" came from trying to make "Dummy" look more like a surname.
That's what I wanted to achieve, but it might only have been after seeing it spelt that way in the game.

Oh, and Drumr, I'd say it's either De or Rational Gaze.

It was slow, bloated and quite frankly sucked, but nostalgia ensures I will love that site forever.

It's been too long since I've last seen that gif.

The original had its budget and amateur actors related flaws, but one thing I think has genuinely aged very well about it is the creepyniess of the posessed teens. When Ash is the only one still normal in the cabin and eveyone else is going apeshit still really gives an air of uneasiness.

My name's Alex. I'm a frenchie from Québec who's been here in some fashion since... 2003? I used to log on different computers at school to rig the fights in favor of my favorite characters.

My claim to fame is drawing the modestly popular "The Slashers" comics, and since the site is back, I might just start again.

I spend most of my free time watching wrestling and quite incongruously being a sharply dressed snob who enjoys wine.

Cheers.

EDIT: I don't quite remember where the misspelling of "Dummy" comes from. I think that in one of Chrono Trigger's endings, the prehistoric chick calls one of her friends a "dummie". I've kept it since.

Yeah, I can only assume that if you start at the beginning, not knowing what you're getting into, it has to be really fucking creepy when weird stuff starts happening.

The Slender Man mythos has a way of giving me the jibblies even though I don't believe in anything supernatural, and that we know it was entirely made up by some guy on the internet.

I've seen a few of them. They're good, but I haven't seen enough of them to get into them; I've mostly seeked out the ones where Slender Man was showing up, possibly ruining the surprise for myself.

The Slender Man story is creepy enough, and I can barely play the "Slender" game, but not being fully immersed in the Marble Hornets series, they never made me jump. And this is my fault more than the videos' fault.

They would, and it DID add suspense, but the payoff sucked.

The only really good part about it was when Nancy(?) was slipping in and out of sleep in what I think was a grocery store alley. The CGI was justified and well done, unlike the part where Freddy comes out the bedroom's wall, where it looked better 30 years ago when they did it with a BLANKET.

I liked the Friday remake better. It was probably just as bland and forgetable, but the Friday films have such a low standard that it looked better in comparison. Lots of missed opportunities for the kills however. There was one part in a garage where they teased a lot of weapons (even hockey stick I think), and none of them where I used. I forgot how the guy died.

Evil Dead 2 was a sequel/condensed remake. The continuity is loose enough already that I think it might just work if they take a similar approach, only 30-something years later.

As for the car, yeah, it's just a nod. Is there a single Raimi film where we don't see the Oldsmobile and Campbell?
