Wolf Creek 2 is a violent game of cat and mouse without much subtext. It relies more on the personality of its villain, shock value and occasional giggles than it does with fearful scares, which it manages to get away with when you consider that there are some complimentary action sequences in the movie.

Mick Taylor is a moderately entertaining lead character, enough so to be the centerpiece of multiple movies and even a television series. He's not quite up there with the other great horror characters but he fits on that second tier level... which is odd to say because in many ways he looks and sounds similar to my father, who is an aussie outback farmer.
