Many of the issues that plagued the first movie still remain in this sequel. However, there are a few more criticisms to tack on for this one. There are some questionable effects at times, even from its opening with fireworks going off in the background that just look misplaced in the setting. It gets off to a nice gory start but immediately becomes a chore from that point onward with shitty acting and has basically copycatted the plot from a better, yet poor film, Halloween: Resurrection.
The reality show, which is meant to cover a whole week, feels like it barely involves one or two days. The most insulting part though is the ending, which just cuts to credits HALF WAY through a fight scene between the killer and one of the remaining survivors. I don't know if they were going for some sort of artistic type of conclusion or if it was their way of trying to get people to watch the next movie to find out how this movie actually ends but either way it just leaves you annoyed by the end of it.
Is there anything good to say? Aside from one or two decent gory kills, the killers mask is still cool. That's about it.
