Brahms: The Boy II (2020)
Review by Bradley Frohloff

7 / 10
I'm not someone who usually lets plot inconsistencies get in the way of the ride, and that probably helped me with my viewing of Brahms: The Boy II as I see a lot of people having a gripe with the continuity of the film. Not to mention that the movie currently has a 4.3 rating on IMDb (which I think has been underrated), and that also helped to provide terribly low expectations upon going into this one.

Is it better than the first movie? For me it was about as enjoyable but if I had to choose one way or the other, I guess it isn't. At least in the sense of originality as the twist toward the end of the first one was pretty good and this sequel comes off more as a generic haunted doll movie like many others before it. Though this one does, in my opinion, have a stronger cast and pretty decent production value.

While there isn't a whole lot of great things to say about the movie, I don't really have anything bad to say about it either. I found myself having a moderately enjoyable time with this one. It's pretty standard horror fare, but I enjoy horror movies with dolls... obviously.
