The Shape of Water (2017)
Review by Bradley Frohloff

Guillermo del Toro brings his usual stylistic flair to this fairytale movie about a mute woman who develops a sexual relationship with an amphibious creature. The movie moves quite slowly but is always intriguing with some interesting characters performed well by the actors. It is a little too artistically ambitious for my tastes but I can understand why other people would be more captivated than I was.
I like my movies to be a little more simplistic and rougher around the edges, hence why my score is probably slightly lower than what the general populace would give. I had an okay time while watching this movie.
