Upgrade (2018)
Review by Bradley Frohloff

Upgrade is a funky new take on those retro sci-fi thrillers, and to me, it had a bit of a Blade Runner feel to it, but on a much more limited scale. The pace of the movie is good, the acting is fine, there's some decent violence and even a little bit of humour to boot. However, since this movie revolves around a chip that essentially makes the guy undefeatable, there's very little concern I had with what happened to his character as he moves from interrogating person to person, getting what he needs until he hits some inevitable roadblocks for the sake of story telling.
I really enjoyed the way that the movie ends. I'd suggest any action/sci-fi fan to give it a look.
