Review by Chucky
This is a very good vampire movie, and this is a sub-genre that I don't typically enjoy all that often. Maybe it's partly because Near Dark avoids the usual vampire mythology of bats, garlic, crosses and stakes. The characters are interesting and have intriguing personalities. Near Dark is a moody film and boasts some decent genre actors, many of which can be found in James Cameron's ALIENS. What I'm about to say me be cringe-worthy but it's true... this is a better love story than TWILIGHT.
