American Ninja (1985)
Review by Bradley Frohloff

This is one of the earliest action films that I watched as a child and really enjoyed. If I had to choose, despite being more silly, I think the sequel is a slightly better movie than this one in terms of pure entertainment value and fun. However, the original American Ninja is plenty enjoyable in its own right. The action sequences aren't all that special but are serviceable for those looking for a movie that can allow them to switch off their brain for 90 minutes and just relax.
