Black Christmas (1974)

While this movie has never been my go-to when it comes to 70's horror, Black Christmas is a very classic film, if for no other reason being one of the earliest recognizable slasher films. Great kills might be a bit lacking, but there's solid atmosphere here, and combine that with good performances and a memorable finale, you have a movie that's certainly worth the watch.

Another one of my all time favorites.
sure the kills weren't all flashy but they fit well in the style of film  but as you said just the sheer atmosphere created is amazing
