I'm not expecting anybody to actually trash anything or anyone here, but we all pretty much have a horror sub-genre that actually disgusts us more than we want it to, or that we don't care anything for.

In the first category... I can't think of anything right now that's that bad for me, but I've got two that are close.  Pre-natal horror really gets to me; one movie is fine, but for example I couldn't watch more than an episode and a half straight of American Horror Story when they were doing that part of the story.  Rape is also something that I can't really watch, but I DO enjoy the second half of rape and revenge movies, so I can't flat out say that I dislike them.

In the second category... zombies.  Flat-out.  I don't know what it is, they've just been in so many places for as long as I can remember that I've been tired of them since before I could truly call myself a horror fan.  And, uh, if found footage can be considered a genre... yeah, don't care.  Not at all.

how ever you would categorize movies like paranormal activity

Chucky

I would say Vampires. Never really been fond of them and when Twilight came along it certainly didn't help its case.

That would be found footage.

It's a toss up between Demonic Possession and Found Footage. Neither sub-genre has really done anything for me in terms of entertainment value. Out of all the ones I've seen, I found myself numb to them.

Torture Porn. After you get over the shock of the first few you see, there's not much to it anymore. Any horror movie, be it a serious thriller, or a funny Slasher, needs something clever or subtle to truly be great. Torture Porn throw more guts at the screen.

I really hate a few found footage films, and I really love a few others.

REC 1 and 2 were amazing, and Marble Hornets on youtube uses the format well.

Basically this for me. I'm sure it can be done well... I just haven't seen it yet.

Doomed Knight

now that I think of it I'd say that Found Footage is my least favorite.
but Like Crash said, I do Live Rec 1 and 2, they would be the exception.

I just scrolled through Found Footage movie on IMDB and yes, Rec would be the only one I like

Crash Dummie

The Last Exorcism was also surprisingly good.

Dorkus

I'm a huge fan of The Exorcist, but I agree it's a subgenre that needs to go now, along with found footage.

That's why The Devil Inside was terrible, it combined the two.

Boobar Scanhound

Slasher films, they just don't do anything for me, on my scale of "how much would i shit my pants if it was after me" slasher villians rate shrug...Jason X is good though (not particularly a slasher film though), and halloween is a well made film, but myers and his ilk don't it for me....I guess most of them have transformed into hulking demons from hell rather than dude with a knife anyway.

I didn't consider blair witch project to be crap, wasn't great but it was watchable.

Shadow

I don't really remember much about Blair Witch other than I hated all the shaky cam.
