Cloverfield (2008)

Cloverfield is appropriately chaotic, and is quite action-packed, which works well despite what one would think of a stylistic handicap (being found footage), but because of the mind-numbing opening twenty minutes and the fact that one of the characters is pretty annoying throughout the film, despite what Cloverfield gets right, I don't overly love it. Not a bad time to pass the time, but there are better flicks, even within the found footage style of film, to go with.

What are your thoughts on the somewhat popular Cloverfield?

I did see this at the theatre but haven't watched since. I remember it being okay but mostly enjoyed the earlier stages when shit starts happening and everybody starts to panic as chaos ensues.

May watch again at some point but I doubt I'll have any strong desire to in the near future.
