The atmosphere of this British film is rather impeccable, carrying a moody and almost gothic-feel, but there's a far smaller focus on the mystery and horror, instead throwing in multiple scenes of rapey locals sexually harassing a woman. One time was fine, but they sort of overdid it, especially given the potential they hard with the abandoned mill setting. Generally, The Shuttered Room is a solid 60's film, but when has my opinion ever meant anything?  [*laugh*]
