The Nun (2018)

Littered with formulaic scares laced with unenviable amounts of CGI, it seemed to be trying too hard to manufacture scares and general creepiness. I hope this is the beginning of the end for The Conjuring universe, which has run its course in my opinion. As much as it hurts to say, if you're in the mood for a scary nun movie, I'd be more inclined to recommend Sister Act 2 than this movie.

What have you got to say about The Nun?

Sounds god-awful (pun intended).

This is why I stick with 1920's and 1930's horror - they can't disappoint (much). :P

Sounds like every Conjuringverse movie ever.

You know, until you mentioned it, I didn't even realize that this was in the same universe. Apparently, it's a spin-off of the third Conjuring?

And Annabelle's related to this series?  [*odd*]

Dude, I think I've been missing stuff. [*uhoh*]

Annabelle first appeared in the opening scene of the first Conjuring movie, which I thought was a good, creepy opening.

The Nun played a key role in the The Conjuring 2 and also made a brief cameo in Annabelle: Creation (the second feature Annabelle movie).
