Oh, btw... I actually have a copy of B.O.R.N on VHS... but don't think I've ever seen the movie.

I find certain songs and movies together elevate one another. The link you gave for "Fade to Black" doesn't work for me, maybe it's location restricted, but I concur for that one.

These other two immediately come to mind.

Frank Sparks - "Melissa"

Katie Irving - "I Never Dreamed Someone Like You (Could Love Someone Like Me)"

Forgot one.

From Neon Maniacs, we have "Baby Lied" by Rick Bowles, another rather catchy song.

Music / Best songs from horror films

And I'm not talking the greatest themes here, such as Halloween's classic theme.

For instance, Prom Night end with a depressive song titled "Fade to Black" by Gordene Simpson.

The Orphan (1979) is not a good movie. It's far more a drama than it is a horror. However, it does have the song "I Need to Live Alone Again" by Janis Ian (of "At Seventeen" fame).

From the criminally underrated B.O.R.N. (1989), also known under the title Merchants of Death, there's a fantastic song titled "How Do You Begin" by Jenifer Smith Meisner.

Lastly, lets end with an up-beat song. From Blacula, we have the insanely catchy "There He Is Again" by The Hues Corporation. Believe me, this went to my iTunes immediately.

What are some of your favorite songs from horror films?

The Black Phone was an absolute gem for modern horror. Blows my mind that nobody on any horror forum has ever even mentioned this movie.

Heard a decent amount of positive things about it on Twitter, but it's hard to separate the genuine praise from the "this-is-a-new-movie-and-I-don't-want-to-say-anything-negative-about-it-in-fear-of-bothering-people" vibe.

Though, I do know, from some people I do trust when it comes to horror, that they had a good time with it.

I tend to disregard many new horror movies but I always try to give some the benefit of the doubt. This was the best one I've seen in years, probably. More of a supernatural thriller with a major horror vibe, though. Still a very solid flick and one to check out when the chance arises.

I would not go as far as to say I spammed it, but hey, whatever works.  [*laugh*]

Actually, I do feel the need to clarify, just to sate my curiosity - are you the Jason from California? I'd suspect so (I can't think of many others I know with the screen-name), but I wasn't sure.

Either way, happy that you're here, and look forward to you popping in every now and again. [*thumbsup*]

That would be me. But we gotta get some good smilies in this place. Lol

I know what you mean... it gets irritating knowing there is still work to be done on something you can't quite get to for some reason. At least that's how it is for me.

So did you have a timeframe for it?

I have my good days and bad days in terms of how much progression is made. It's more of a ride the wave type of thing when it comes to getting it done. Some days I'm flying through it and then sometimes I get stuck on how I want a page to look, and it takes a lot of back and forth before I settle on it. So I can't really give a timeframe but I'd hope in maybe a month or two.

It's been on my radar since last year. There was an advanced screening of it in my area a couple of weeks ago but I couldn't attend as it was my daughter's 18th birthday party the exact same night. Doesn't get released here until next week.
