No doubt that Redneck Zombies is a silly and often stupid movie, especially in regards to the overly idiotic redneck caricatures the film presents. And to be fair, I do find the film below average. Still, it's entertaining enough, there's some funny lines ("The epitome of horror"), and the gore is solid in a Nathan Schiff way.

What are your views on this zombie movie?

More than anything, I think Grizzly is a dry and somewhat unengaging movie. The bear's fine, and there are a few pretty decent scenes, but I was more bored than enthralled throughout most of it, and that's a problem.

What's your thoughts on this Jaws rip-off?

My personal go-to when it comes to Italian zombie flicks is Fulci's Zombi 2, but Burial Ground still has solid gore and a great zombie design. As expected, the story is a bit thin (that's the zombie sub-genre for you, though), but there's great gore and very, shall we say interesting, scenes of carnal nature.

What do you think about this Italian zombie flick?

A remake of the somewhat unspectacular The House on Sorority Row, this 2009 film comes across as both generic and pretty unremarkable. Some of the kills are okay, but few are great, and none of the characters, even the "good" ones, don't lend to much sympathy. Overall, it's not the worst film from the late 2000's, but it's definitely not good.

Any thoughts on this frightening flick?

While it's occasionally a little too goofy, The Stuff (or TheStuff, because our lords and masters have a problem if there's a space between the two words insofar as topics are concerned), is a pretty fun take on senseless American consumerism. An evil conspiracy to sell a dangerous product while a group try to take them down is fun, and like I said, while a bit silly, The Stuff is still pretty fun and worth seeing.

Can you get enough of The Stuff?

The horror within this supernatural film might be on the lighter side, but Lost Souls still has a lot of feeling, and combined with an interesting mystery and solid conclusion, I think this made-for-television movie is pretty decent.

Any thoughts on this made-for-TV movie?

There was some interesting characterization and story to Blood Hook, but I just wasn't biting.  While there were comedic influences, it generally wasn't too over-the-top. My main problem being that it took about forty minutes to really get invested, and by the point, it didn't help that much.

Anyone have an opinion on this flicK?

See No Evil had a decent setting and okay kills, but I didn't like some of the aspects of the story, and the glossy CGI was something I'd have preferred to avoid. It's not the worst new-age slasher by any means, but I definitely found it underwhelming with this rewatch.

What do you think about See No Evil?

The Evil is a movie that potentially could have been good, but the final product was just hella dry. I mean, we're talking stranded in the desert, looking for a cactus to fuck dry. I mean, this was dry. It was also rather boring save a few scenes, but mostly dry.

Was The Evil as dry as I said it was, or is it just a poor film? 

Want atmosphere and mystery? Look no further. Want excitement and originality? Well, look somewhere else. The Undying Monster is a movie that feels much like the best dark-house movies of the 1930's with a werewolf thrown into the final ten minutes. I personally liked much of what this movie was going for, but I certainly wouldn't call it a classic. Still, if you're into older horror, give this one a gander.

What are your thoughts on this early werewolf flick?

What really makes You Might Be the Killer a movie worth experiencing is the innovative direction the narrative structure takes. Much of the story is told out of order (leading to the amusing kill count in film jumping forward and back, depending on the kill in question), and it's just a fun movie. For a new-age slasher that dares to be different, give this one a watch.

What are your thoughts on the fact that You Might Be the Killer?

Without Warning has some impressive cast-members, but the story suffers severely since sluggishness seeps superfluously. Seriously, sleepy since scenes seem sapping.

Y'all feeling positive about Without Warning?

Pledge Night is an okay early 90's film that luckily feels much more like a late 80's flick. It's not special, but it is occasionally amusing. Definitely somewhat forgettable, though, when all's said and done.

What say you on this flick brahs???

I feel that this Wes Craven film could have been a good sight better, but as it stands, Deadly Blessing's an okay movie to give a view or two. It's really nothing special, but hey, it's Wes Craven.

Your thoughts on the spidery Craven flick?

While this isn't quite as great as I wish it was, Tim Burton's horror/musical still does a lot of things right, with a downright dreary atmosphere, some solid gore, and a fantastic cast. Not that many of the songs are overly memorable, but at the time, they're certainly fine, and despite that, the movie's still above average what with all else it does well.

What do you think this Burton flick?

Love killer stepfathers? Than look no further. With a fantastic cast, thrilling story, and just all-around greatness, The Stepfather is a movie that really goes beyond expectations, and is perhaps one of the sleeper hits from the late 1980's.

Do you love Terry O'Quinn or are you wrong?

Want an underwhelming, yet definitely spooky, flick? Ghost Ship is here to provide. The film is hollow and hideously glossy as Hollywood horror flicks tend to be, but hey, the setting's solid.

What are your thoughts on this early 2000's flick?

The second Stripped to Kill is an okay movie, but it's nowhere near as enjoyable as the first, and overall, despite some interesting sequences and ideas, it's a below average, somewhat forgettable film.

What are your thoughts on this sequel?

Despite getting heaps of praise, Paranormal Activity is a waste of time. Want a solid found footage horror flick to feast your eyes on? Well, don't look here. Pretty pointless film with little going for it, and it was overhyped to hell.

Thoughts on this waste of time?

This has been an on-and-off Fight Evil thread since at least 2006 (http://www.fight-evil.com/forum/index.php?topic=3186.0), and I always thought it was a cool idea, and a good way to motivate each of us to watch some movies we've wanted to see but just haven't gotten to for one reason or another.

Quoting Dorkus here, "For those who didn't see the old threads, you basically make a checklist of horror movies you have never seen, along with a mini-review and score. I found it a good way to motivate me to rack up more horrors.

You can make the checklist as long as you want it to be, but I'm going with the same 5 movies per checklist rule as last time."


Ideally, if you stick with just five films, you can get this done easily by the end of the year, and I think it's a great idea to try and revive it.
