Horror Talk / Friday The 13th Part 2 (1981)
February 10, 2018, 12:04:02 PM
This was a step in the right direction over the original film. Jason is a much more exciting slasher character than his mother.

Horror Talk / Maniac Cop 2 (1990)
February 08, 2018, 11:37:35 PM
This sequel has as much fun as they can with the Matt Cordell character while maintaining a somewhat serious tone despite some of its ridiculousness. This sequel is just as good as the original movie.

Other Movies / Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
February 08, 2018, 01:20:14 PM
Arnold Schwarzenegger refines his Terminator persona to its full potential here. It pretty much does everything the original movie did but better and may possible be the greatest action film of all-time.

Horror Talk / Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990)
February 07, 2018, 09:51:27 AM
The gremlins aren't as scary this time around but there is some good humour, homages, parodies and cameos throughout. I find this sequel to be just as good as the original movie and the cuteness factor for Gizmo is off the charts.

Horror Talk / The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986)
February 06, 2018, 12:07:37 PM
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 has plenty of giggles and thrills but almost borders on being a dark comedy which does leave us with a lack of identity to the first movie.

Other Movies / Predator 2 (1990)
February 05, 2018, 12:41:13 AM
Predator 2 is a decent follow-up but its location and characters aren't quite as enjoyable as the first movie.

Horror Talk / Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013)
February 04, 2018, 01:47:00 AM
Insidious: Chapter 2 is a decent movie but the ghosts, demons, spirits or whatever you'd like to call them aren't as frightening as those in the first film.

Horror Talk / Child's Play 2 (1990)
February 03, 2018, 01:46:31 AM
Child's Play 2 is a fun, fast-paced sequel which is as good as the original movie. The location of the toy factory is one of the most unique locations for a horror movie ending.

Horror Talk / Halloween II (1981)
February 02, 2018, 01:19:36 PM
This time the bodycount increases, the kills are more graphic and Michael Myers moves like a wrecking ball. All these things are fine and dandy to me but it doesn't have quite the same charm as the original.

Other Movies / Predator (1987)
February 01, 2018, 02:49:13 AM
Predator takes the biggest, toughest guy in Hollywood and makes him look like a mouse with one of the coolest creatures in film history hunting him down.

Horror Talk / Playing With Dolls (2015)
January 31, 2018, 11:48:57 AM
Playing With Dolls has a really cool looking killer but suffers from its amateurish unknown actors and general low budget feel, despite being shot rather well.

Horror Talk / Fright Night (1985)
January 31, 2018, 01:40:06 AM
It's not particularly all that scary, or whatever scare factor it did have, it has definitely lost as time has gone by. With all that aside, Fright Night is a fun, easy-going viewing experience.

Horror Talk / Raw (2016)
January 30, 2018, 01:31:08 PM
Raw is an interestingly unique cannibal movie. It may be shocking to some but I felt the culture of these French students was too surreal for me to be as impacted by the cannibalistic stuff as I should have been.

Horror Talk / The Exorcist (1973)
January 30, 2018, 01:33:18 AM
While it may no longer have people throwing up their dinner and running out of theatres like it did back in the 70's, The Exorcist remains an extremely chilling film.

Horror Talk / The Phantom Of The Opera (1989)
January 29, 2018, 02:57:52 PM
Robert Englund brings a Freddy Krueger-esque performance to this adaptation of The Phantom Of The Opera and what we get is a weird hybrid of Freddy Krueger, slasher movie with some musical obsession thrown in.

Horror Talk / Child's Play (1988)

Horror Talk / The Shape Of Water (2017)
January 28, 2018, 02:11:35 PM
The Shape Of Water moves quite slowly but is always intriguing with some interesting characters performed well by the actors. It is a little too artistically ambitious for my tastes but I can understand why other people would be more captivated than I was.

Horror Talk / Insidious (2010)
January 27, 2018, 11:59:30 PM
When you're no longer a child, it's very difficult for a movie to actually scare you and make the hairs stick up on the back of your neck but Insidious has managed to succeed in this area for me.

Horror Talk / Saw (2004)
January 27, 2018, 01:32:10 AM
SAW was a clever and unique experience for its time with plenty of twists. Its reputation is soured by its many hollow, cash-grabbing sequels but it is a good movie on its own.

Horror Talk / I Spit On Your Grave (1978)
January 26, 2018, 03:16:51 AM
I Spit On Your Grave may not be quality cinema and may not be a film that I like to repeat very often but it does evoke a range of emotions that you will rarely experience while watching most other films.
