I've been curious about that.  Is it one series per actor, or one continuous series?  I've heard people reference it both ways.

True- along with 10 films in the first Star Trek series.  Is there an audience here for a non-horror equivalent to this discussion?

Saturday morning roundup -

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - New turtle van.  80s fans should like it.  Good humor, standard action, solid episode.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Musical episode.  Done to cut costs?  Voice actresses have prior engagements?  I'll be looking into this, as I'm curious why they would make what I believe is the season finale into something just short of an opera.  It also had almost religious undertones, but that might have just been the musical direction.

Young Justice - Turns out my TV site dropped the ball on this one.  Got about 5 hours to watch tonight that wasn't there last night.  In other words, I'm not caught up on this as I thought I was.

Green Lantern - Valentine's Day episode, but despite that, it was bearable.  I'm curious to see how Ia's plot develops.

Yeah, I would consider the last two both to be remakes so I didn't count either of them.

Counted with a disclaimer.  Looking at the list... I'm tempted not to include anything other than straight-up sequels.

What you're really asking is to make (out loud) that tough call of whether New Nightmare is a sequel, or a spin-off.

I don't think it technically is.  The new Dawn pretty much ends with the idea that the main characters (who've survived) are the last living humans alive, and they're fucked.  It's possible to pick it up from there, but not easy.

Night, Dawn, Day, etc. is one series.
Night (Arguably), Return, and the Return series is another.
Dawn, Zombi, etc are a third series.
You could almost count all of the Night remakes as a series... maybe later we can do another list of films with a ton of remakes.

Many shows- especially the Simpsons, considering they're the trope-namer tend to turn their characters into a caricature of themselves in order to keep coming up with ideas.  Few shows stay funny after 5 or 6 seasons.

As for myself, I've actually caught up to Young Justice; I'm watching the newest episode now.

I thought Nightbreed was fairly popular.

Saw isn't that long, actually; only seven films I think.  I'll be making a thread for those soon.
