I didn't see it as expecting something - of course you expect something surprising in a haunted house.  But what it is, and how the hell to escape it, are the surprises and the source of the terror.

Both Woman in Black and Evil Dead are being accused of having a lot of jump scares, and I think they're both genuinely scary movies.

As long as it's not Ryan Reynolds from Blade 3.

Really??  That's a really good FX shot for RR.  Knew it was familiar, though.

That also explains why the bondage gear on the arm didn't match any werewolf films I could think of.

I'd feign shock at the concept of watching shows on a TV, but lately instead of Googling a show the day it comes out, I've been catching them on DVR.  Still, I can access the DVR playlist on my laptop or phone if I wanted to, so the TV is really just a momentary convenience.
