One of the earliest-surviving talki horror films, The Bat Whispers stands up extraordinarily well. From multiple suspicious parties to fantastic camera angles to plenty of fun characters, there's very little this old dark house film gets wrong. A classic of the 1930's, this film is highly recommended, if you can find a good copy.
