Title: The Fog (1980)
Post by: Jigsaw on July 08, 2018, 03:30:22 PM
The Fog is fantastic. Great score, great actors, fun story, beautifully haunting imagery (the fog slowly rolling into town, as seen from the lighthouse, always gets me), and damn fine pacing. A few of the characters have little to add to the story, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it.

What did you think about this undeniable classic directed by Carpenter?

It's one of those movies that I have tried watching a bunch of times, and have always been distracted or felt like I just wasn't in the best mood to watch it so I end up turning it off early and watch it again some other time. I've had it on bluray for probably well over 5 years and are still in the same dilemma. I honestly wouldn't be able to give it a rating.

That's interesting. From the get-go, I find the movie awfully captivating. Generally, I've almost always heard positive things about it from the horror community.

Perhaps once you're in the right frame of mind to give it a shot, you might come out liking it.
