Last song I listened to was "Angry Again" by Megadeth. Was watching Last Action Hero earlier and completely forgot this song was not only in it, but on the soundtrack until the part where Danny starts watching the new Jack Slater movie. Fucking love the hell out of this song.

I wonder if Crash can translate this song for us without looking up the lyrics:

Stopped listening after the first scream.

Nothing against this kind of Metal; I can't say it sucks, because the people doing it are obviously very talented, and a lot of people love it.

But I don't. I hate it.

I'll take that as a... no?  [*uhoh*] I should mention that the chorus is melodic to some degree.

Yeah, well.... South Park tried to make fun of Phil Collins but he's a fuckin beast.

They weren't so much making fun of his music as they were....ok, they were. But mostly the Tarzan shit he did. That sucked.

Also.....are those shirts legit? Those are metal as fuck.

Depeche Mode - Heaven
Despite all the bad reviews this first single from the new album got, I love it! It's just perfect, still very Depeche. This song reminds me of all the things we want to be in life but just can't seem to handle right now.

"12 Hundred" - Mushroomhead

Mostly because Chuck posted the video above and because I fucking love the band. Suppose loving them is an obligation with me being from Cleveland and what not, but yeah. A lot of people bitch that they haven't been the same since J Mann left. Really, think they've only gotten better since his departure. Plus side for those fans is, he still does some gigs with Mushroomhead when the hit Cleveland.

Yeah, even though I started listening to them well over a decade ago, I've liked their music much more in the last 5 years or so. Their music sounds a little more raw now than it used to, which I dig.

They sound better on my computer than they do live. I've seen local bands put on better shows than those dudes, without a thousand people between me and the stage.

This is not one of those bands. This is the best live show I have ever been to.

Mainly for the humorous 'wall of death' chant in this live video:

I was in a conversation with someone fairly recently that tried to defend this band hard. They even went as far as to say that not only were they better than the likes of Black Sabbath, but to lump Ozzy in with ICP and bands like My Chemical Romance. After the person linked me to a song that sounded so terribly generic, I immediately wanted to punch them in the face.

I'm not going to waste time defending them, I don't mind the odd song here and there from them but yeah, not a band I listen to in any form of regularity.

I'm honestly not a fan of his cover of Hurt. It's waaaaaay too sappy. But I agree otherwise. Not a huge fan of country, but I love Johnny Cash. Mostly his later stuff, though. His earlier stuff is alright, but I'm big on "God's Gonna Cut You Down", "When the Man Comes Around" and "Ain't No Grave"

I just enjoy it the song, gives me a chill and also what it shows about music in general, take a song with the exact same words and give it an entirely different identity and meaning.

Jamie N Commons - "Lead Me Home"

After hearing this on the most recent episode of the Walking Dead, I spent a few hours scouring the internet to find it. Apparently it's not on youtube. After a while, found a copy of it. Great song and was a fitting way to end the episode.

First heard this in the Punisher movie (the Thomas Jane one) back when that first came out. Completely spaced on the name of it for a few years until recently when I decided to google the lyrics. The movie kinda hasn't held up (I did like it at the time. Still better than the Dolph Lundgren one and Punisher: Warzone, though) but this song is great. The scene it's in is probably the best part of the entire movie. Kinda funny that the dude has this awesome introduction and then goes down like a bitch five minutes later.

"Rooster" - Alice in Chains (Unplugged)

Probably the best Unplugged MTV, I defy anyone to oppose that statement. It's impossible for anyone to say different. Layne and Jerry were on fucking point that night. If anyone could have summed up their band perfectly on any given night, these two did it. It's especially great because of Layne's issues at that point in time. With how he was nailing notes, you wouldn't have known. Simply fucking phenomenal.

Definitely can't go wrong with Sabbath. Whether it be Ozzy Sabbath or Dio Sabbath (or Heaven and Hell if you prefer. Still Sabbath.)

Anyways, been listening to "Seagulls over Rhinoceros Bay Part 2" by Foxy Shazam a lot lately. Don't really even know how I found this song, but it's a pretty damn good instrumental. I dig it.

I really only know them for this song (which I got from a 2007 compilation album), though I have downloaded their album Fortress. I'm not at all very up-to-date when it comes to music, and listen mainly to songs I've known for years.

Last song I listened to was this ELO classic:

Anyhoo, thought I should contribute...

Re-visiting a favourite from a German band that I used to listen to a bit back during my graduation year (2001).

Band: Waterdown
Song: June

How can you dance when my legs are bleeding?
And how can you whisper when I feel like screaming?
This is the perfect tragedy
This is sugar-coated madness dear

Starting with the song I previously posted, I felt kind of inspired to do a nostalgia hit list, containing songs that I used to (and mostly still do) listen to a lot back during my high school days or thereabouts (basically anything over 15 years ago).

Next up is a track way ahead of its time and I'm pretty sure John Travolta chucked a tanty when it came out in the early 90's. I used to spin it a fair few times since the mid-late 90's. Mike Patton is a bit hit and miss with me, but Mr Bungle is one of his more interesting acts, in my opinion.

Artist: Mr Bungle
Song: Travolta (Quote Unquote)

He's got an itch but nothing with which to scratch the itch
So wish it away
With his mouth sewn shut, he still shakes his butt
'cause he's Hitler and Swayze and Trump and... Travolta

Such a moving song. Watsky has long been a favorite of mine, and this song's just wonderful.

Utterly love Great Big Sea. They have catchy, sometimes funny songs ('The Mermaid' and 'Harbour Lecou') and moving songs (such as this and 'England,' not to mention 'The Fisherman's Lament' and 'Someday Soon')

Great stuff here if you've the right ear.

Currently listening to Animals Killing People's debut album, Kentucky Fried Killing.

Came out back in 2008, but only picked it up recently.

I have to say, it has some of the most guttural vocals I've ever heard. I can generally follow along to Mortician songs if I have lyrics in front of me - the same is true for The County Medical Examiners and Cattle Decapitation. But this? No way, Jack.

On that front, it's moderately impressive.

As for the specific last song I listened to, though, "Animals Are Beasts, Men Are Monsters"
