After sitting through the first hour of bland kills and lackluster suspense, it pays off with its carnage at the end of the movie and reminded me a lot of the Kane Hodder movie, Hatchet.

Sort of sounds like when I first saw The Mutilator. Was so pumped to finally see this slasher classic, and I just felt underwhelmed throughout the whole film.
I've not seen this one, but it's one of those movies that's on my "want-to-see" list.
