For Cult, you'd be best off watching the dvd/bluray. If you watch on Netflix, you won't get all the gore or the post-credits ending.

Well, I'm a bit behind in my reviews but I'll have my Cult review up in a matter of hours.

You though Leprechaun: Back 2 Tha Hood was way better? Let's not say things we can't take back now.  [*hehehmm*]

For those who do not want spoilers, do not look below.

What was the twist at the ending? Everything seemed sorta clear-cut to me.

Well, the kid is essentially presumed dead from the explosion, only to be found later on being adopted by a new family. I can't fathom how the kid survived that blast.

Eh, I added my review for it as well. [*browwink*]

Other Movies / Kickboxer 4: The Aggressor (1994)
April 29, 2018, 12:03:22 PM
The inclusion of a fighting tournament steers the franchise back towards being a martial arts movie and the fight scenes in this movie are actually decent for a low-budget flick from the 90's but the main returning characters of David Sloan and Tong Po feel like cheap replications of themselves and that is only one of the many problems that this movie has.

Have you watched enough of the series to have watched Kickboxer 4: The Aggressor?

Never really bothered with this one because:

A) Not a huge fan of vampire movies.
B) Despite having owned the original movie on DVD for the past 15+ years I STILL haven't managed to get through it. Not sure if that's because I can't get into it or if I've just not been in the best mood for that type of movie whenever I have tried to put it on.

It doesn't quite pack the same punch as "Once Were Warriors", but it is an intriguing ride, even if only to see the transformation of a character that most people would consider a sorry excuse for a human being to someone that you end up rooting for.

Have you ever seen What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted?

Other Movies / Kick-Ass (2010)
April 27, 2018, 03:12:59 PM
Kick-Ass is plenty of fun with a good mixture of humour, action and graphic violence to accompany its semi-realistic approach to what it would be like for an everyday person trying to become a superhero.

Did you enjoy Kick-Ass?

Horror Talk / Re: Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988)

Your review prompted me to look at some of the other reviews for it. Crash guessed that the budget for Hellraiser 2 was less than the first, but it seems it had an estimated triple the budget that the first had.  [*hehehmm*]

Horror Talk / Re: Baby Blood (1990)

I thought I was quite respectable with my dissing of the French. It feels like the actors in these French movies are aliens that wear human skin and try to do their best impersonation of a human being. I don't watch a whole let of French cinema but I don't recall having this issue in the past with French movies... or with age I'm just getting more irritable thus it's more noticeable. [*odd*]

Other Movies / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)
April 26, 2018, 12:03:00 AM
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a huge dose of nostalgic fun and is dark enough for plenty of adults to enjoy if they are able to look past a bunch of insignificant production errors.

Did you enjoy the original TMNT movie?

Horror Talk / Baby Blood (1990)
April 25, 2018, 09:27:37 PM
There are a lot of blood splattering kills, there are some cool gore effects and the creature action is entertaining although we don't get to see enough of it but French people are just too weird for me to relate to as real human beings. The lead actress has fantastic tits.

Have you ever seen Baby Blood?

Television / Re: Black Mirror

I watched a few episodes, pretty decent so far. I still think the very first episode, where the PM is being forced to fuck a pig, was the best.

Other Movies / Batman (1989)
April 24, 2018, 12:01:51 PM
This version of Batman has a very dark, murky, gothic tone to it. While there are some comical moments, it's probably the most serious and realistic version of the caped crusader to date and I prefer it that way.

What do you think of this version of Batman?
