The words hanging off the top totally ruined my suspension of disbelief.

Considering it took a group of people to take Freddy down in FvJ and he was perceived as a bigger threat than Jason (you know, the guy that murdered said group of people's friends with little to no effort) and Freddy smacked Jason around for a good 10 minutes, I'd say that it's Jason that takes it up the ass.

That being said, is this some kind of ploy to try and get one of us to comment on the new Jason banner on the top of the page?

Well, Freddy's pee-pee is probably all burned off, so prostate stimulation would work better for him.

No, I just came across this picture and decided to post it.

And Jason is a zombie, so limbs are bound to rot off eventually.

Why the fuck are we having this conversation?

Well, maybe he takes it up the ass too. We don't know.

Technically, he's a Deadite, and they rot exactly how much and how quickly they want to.

Did they really stick with the Necronomicon from part 9? That movie was weird. I know it sets up Freddy vs Jason, but what happened in it was never acknowledged anywhere else.

Neither were Manhattan or the girl from Part VII, but nobody disavows them as having happened to Jason.

Mahattan is another weird case; I see the flashbacks and the ending as the girl hallucinating young Jason.

Young Jason couldn't have tired to drag her into the lake. There are two ways to see it; either Jason never drowned and grew up in the woods eating squirrels, or he was dead at the bottom of the lake. I believe he lived, but either way, he would have been an adult when that girl swam in the lake, since he clearly was an adult by part two.

Also, she saw Jason as a normal boy, who only got deformed after rotting in the lake. I think it's just that she never actually saw him before, so she imagined him this way.

And toxic wastes don't turn zombies into normal children. Jason probably just didn't disolve enough to die, and hitched a hike back to Crystal Lake for the sequel.

But we all know that the real reason for all of this was because the people who worked on the movie were fucking idiots who didn't think it through.

Since we're on the subject of Jason, it seems that Paramount once again has the rights to the Friday the 13th series and there will be a sequel to the remake from 09. Catch is, they only have the rights for five years before they revert back to Warner Bros. What this all means, I suppose, is that we should get ready for another 9 Friday the 13th films.

The Friday remake was alright. Better than the new Freddy.

The bar was much lower than the Nightmare remake, but they didn't trip over it and make it catch fire.

I dunno. I went into both wanting to hate them (more so the Elm Street remake due to the original being my favorite movie) but didn't really hate them. That's not to say that I thought they were good movies, because they weren't. But they weren't terrible either. Both played it fairly safe in what they did, Elm Street more than Friday.

Nope. Five years to make as many Friday the 13th films as possible. Wouldn't say any of them have been good. Entertaining sure, but not good. But people that watch the films aren't looking for something good. They're looking for a body count and to enjoy the creative ways in which Jason offs dumb teenagers.

I'd say Jason Lives is a good movie. Barely, but it's fun, funny and it has some good kills.

This reminds me it's been years since I've seen FvsJ. Wonder how it holds up.

True story, FvJ was the first horror movie I ever watched start to finish.  It was while I was researching that movie that I found FE.

I watched it last Halloween. It's probably the best Friday the 13th movie, and a decent Nightmare. It's really, really fun and bloody. That fight as the end is still ridiculously amazing.

I forgot how old that movie is.

Let me correct that: the first slasher movie I watched, and the first horror movie I watched on DVD.  The first horror movie I ever watched was the 1999 version of The Haunting, in theatres at age 10.

History note: Freddy vs Jason is what spawned this website, originally. Hence the reason why the site had the fights.

I'd imagine it holds sort of like watching an old WWE ppv. Except cheesier acting.

It's definitely campy, but what else could we expect from a crossover like that? Worst case scenario would be the AvP films, best case scenario is what FvJ is. Dumb fun. Though, I have a feeling Ronny Yiu (sp?) meant for it to be more than it was, but that's based off of a commentary track that I last listened to about a decade ago.

That wasn't a complaint, that was a compliment (kinda).

Just read that the entire Friday the 13th film series will be released in a box set for the first time ever for BluRay owners. Friday the 13th fans have Christopher Nolan to thank for that.  [*deal*]

I would be happier if they managed to restore all of the deleted stuff from F13 part 7. All of that stuff was cut because of how violent it was but by these days it would now be considered tame.

Yeah. All they have is bag VHS quality footage. Not sure they can do much with it, but it really shows how the movie got neutered.
