Horror Talk / The Foreign Exchange Student (2015)
May 09, 2020, 01:27:42 PM
Even though I watched this for free, I still feel like I deserve my money back. The thick Jamaican accents, especially towards the beginning of the movie just had me thinking of Bob Marley n' shit the whole time. It was hard to take seriously. The lead actress did have some big ol' titties and booty though.

Have you ever seen The Foreign Exchange Student?

Horror Talk / The Wretched (2019)
May 09, 2020, 01:25:20 PM
This is one of those movies where if it had been a Netflix Original, it probably would have been given 'da bomb' status. It does have some genuinely suspenseful moments and also had surprisingly better production value than I anticipated, but it just didn't have the knockout punches I was hoping for. They got me on the hook but they weren't able to reel me in.

What do you think of The Wretched?

I notice you gave this a 5.5 rounded up to 6 on the site but on the podcast you gave it a flat 5/10.  [*odd*]

I have no idea what is going on there... I checked the analytics which isn't actually showing anywhere near that many visits but maybe I don't have it working correctly. In any case, I think that number is a glitch.

Remake, sequel, reboot... whatever the fuck you wanna call it, it's pretty mediocre BUT I didn't really find it to be worse than any of the other cheap supernatural cash-ins from the past decade.

Anyone else feel like giving this one a go?

Horror Talk / Brahms: The Boy II (2020)
March 04, 2020, 08:11:51 PM
Being someone who doesn't usually let plot inconsistencies get in the way of the ride and going in with super low expectations due to the hate the film has received, I found myself having a moderately enjoyable time with this one. It's pretty standard horror fare, but I enjoy horror movies with dolls... obviously.  [*browwink*]

Have you seen Brahms: The Boy II?

Movie is okay but forgettable.

Poster is ace.

Mariah looks good on poster, not as good in the movie (I think the hair has something to do with it as her hair looks good on poster but looks ridiculous in the movie), and she's a bit whiney, haha. She looks good in some of her IMDb pics but also looks atrocious in some of the others... what the fuck?  [*odd*]

Within half an hour of disputing it, they backed off and released the copyright claim.

The wankers over at Paramount Pictures seem to have blocked our YouTube movie review discussion for this one. Usually when a studio does this, they just try to run ads on your videos to make money but these douchebags have gone a big step further and have literally blocked the video from being seen... at least in my own country, I haven't checked yet to see which countries were affected.

I'm gonna have to dispute this shit.  [*angry*]
