Looks interesting... well any movies where some scary lookin' dude in a mask is in it will usually look interesting. Did I list it correctly as action/horror?

Horror Talk / Nightmare Sisters (1988)
June 06, 2018, 12:53:08 AM
Nightmare Sisters doesn't have much to offer the viewer. There's a giggle or two to be had with its general goofiness and bad acting and I certainly don't mind Michelle Bauer getting soaped up in the tub for an inane amount of time but that's not going to cut it for a full length feature.

What did you think of Nightmare Sisters?

Your dad raped your mum and then he got savagely eaten to death by her pet dogs?  [*browwink*]

Disclaimer, that's how the beast from this movie was born. I didn't mean your real mum or dad.  [*uhoh*]

P.s. I know the joke you're trying to make, Hugh.  [*tsktsk*]

I think Drag Me to Hell earns points because of its ending. It was kind of unexpected to have that type of ending, there are a few other creepy scenes but mostly thanks to the old hag, other than that it's quite generic.

Horror Talk / Humongous (1982)

After sitting through the first hour of bland kills and lackluster suspense, it pays off with its carnage at the end of the movie and reminded me a lot of the Kane Hodder movie, Hatchet.

Have you checked out Humongous?

Funnily enough, I noticed your review go up from working on the new site. Yes, the new site will actually show when an older movie in the database has a new review.  [*browwink*]

Well at least you got to see Michelle Bauer getting soaped up for an awkwardly long amount of time.  [*browwink*]

Other Movies / Re: Five Loose Women (1974)

Yeah.... the movie literally opens with a sex scene that goes for probably at least 5 minutes, you get to see some hairy man-ass and after 5 minutes of plot development, they go right into another (awkward) sex scene, which goes even longer, which involves an unattractive woman who has the attitude like she's never not been on her period before and she finger rapes another inmate at this extremely LAX prison that they break strut out from.

Five Loose Women is an exploitative erotic action thriller in which you get to see someone who reminds me of a mean lookin' Judy Dench awkwardly fingerblasting someone for five minutes straight. There are some giggles to be had with how bad some of the actors are and how scenes unfold but not enough to withstand all of its shortcomings.

What the fuck?

I don't have much to say about the movie itself but I just wanted to add that I am well familiar with doing midnight faeces before bed.  [*azn*]

Horror Talk / Ms .45 (1981)
May 27, 2018, 11:20:12 AM
Ms .45 is an impressive movie when you consider many of its main cast have never acted in any other movies. The way the movie is shot along with its zany type of music is quite reminiscent of Italian horror. This is pretty much a female version of Death Wish with a much more exploitative edge to it.

Are you a fan of Ms .45?

Horror Talk / Exorcism (1975)
May 23, 2018, 02:49:45 AM
Exorcism isn't a good movie. But it's not so much a terrible movie as it is just a dull one. While Exorcism doesn't copy The Exorcist (1973) scene-for-scene, it has enough similarities that you can't help but compare the two and come to the conclusion that this movie doesn't come close in any aspect.

Have you ever seen this?

I rented this out from the video store about 15 years ago. From what I recall, it was quite mediocre but can't remember much of what happens in it.

Horror Talk / May (2002)
May 21, 2018, 01:49:26 AM
May is a movie that rests heavily on its main character. Angela Bettis puts in a commendable performance as the odd and extremely introverted title character. For a movie of such a low budget, I feel that May overachieves.

What did you think of May?
