Horror Talk / Re: Curse of Chucky (2013)

I saw that earlier. Kind of nice to have a similar look to the first three. While I did like the stitched up version, can't beat a classic. Though, I did notice that he seems a lot bigger than previous versions. May just be the angle of the picture or the size of the woman.

Maybe I've been desensitized, but the gore really didn't get to me at all.

As an update to the first question I was asked (about the job situation) turns out I may be getting the job after all. I should know sometime by the end of this week or the start of next week. If I get the job, I'll be working the graveyard shift which is pretty much perfect for me.

WWE seems in a kind of bump. What happened to TNA ? , haven't heard about it in months. Rumours in Locker room are that Ricky is going back to TNA soon.
TNA seems to be doing fine. It's definitely no where near as bad as it had been in 2006 or so. Some would argue that the Aces & 8's thing has gone on for too long (much like every other TNA large stable storyline) but it's kinda worth it for Bully Ray.

Currently listening to "God is Dead?" by Black Sabbath

Holy fucking shit, this song is awesome. Had no idea they were releasing a new album until just a couple minutes ago. Can't wait, I need this album in my life right the hell now.  [*evil*]

can't go wrong with some sabbath

Definitely can't go wrong with Sabbath. Whether it be Ozzy Sabbath or Dio Sabbath (or Heaven and Hell if you prefer. Still Sabbath.)

Anyways, been listening to "Seagulls over Rhinoceros Bay Part 2" by Foxy Shazam a lot lately. Don't really even know how I found this song, but it's a pretty damn good instrumental. I dig it.

When's Shia making his cameo?
He's too busy making cameos in music videos for bands no one's ever/will ever hear of.

Apparently I never posted here.  Anyway, this had better be awesome, considering that he gave up Godzilla to a less capable director so that he could work on this instead.
It's Del Toro. I've yet to see a film of his that I haven't loved/been entertained by. Didn't know he turned down Godzilla, but that would explain the rumors I was reading about a Pac Rim/Godzilla crossover.  [*uhoh*]

Question: what's everyone's favorite drink? Doesn't matter if its alcoholic or not.
I'm a bit of an energy drink addict (not good, I know.) Lately, I've been enjoying Rip It due to the amount of different flavors they have. More specifically one called "Tribute" which is a Mandarin/Lime mix.

Giant robots fighting giant monsters with the fate of humanity in the balance. In other words, awesomeness turned up to 11 due to Del Toro directing.

L-Face: What sort of job are you looking for?
Anything that doesn't involve flipping burgers or getting shot at. I was looking into being a gas station attendant, but that seems to have fallen through.

Been a while since I've seen this one. But from what I remember, I liked it. Great practical effects and super cheesy/fun acting (wouldn't be a Jeffery Combs movie if it didn't have that.) It's kind of a shame that one moment tends to outshine the rest of a fun film (the decapitated head giving head scene. But yeah, solid flick.

Finally got around to seeing this. Thought it was pretty good. Not great, but still enjoyable. The beginning is a little slow, but does a decent job of setting things up before the shit hits the fan. I've heard complaints about the characters being bland/not memorable, but I actually thought that was a pretty good change of pace from the cliches that usually follow the horror genre. As for the end credits scene, I marked out. Not going to lie. It was short, but so over the top that it's awesome.

Overall, I'd like to say this is one of the better remakes. Though, I'll hold off on saying that until I see it a few more times to see if it holds up.

Other Movies / Pacific Rim

So back at Wondercon, the good ol' WB debuted the trailer for Guillermo Del Toro's next film, Pacific Rim. Said trailer made everyone jizz their pants and used twitter to felate the film. My first thoughts were, "I love Del Toro's films, but it can't be that good, can it?" Well, the trailer from Wondercon hit the interwebz today and it looks like a super fun movie. Basically, if you're a fan of Power Rangers, Godzilla, or other movies similar to it, you're going to love it. Check out the trailer below:

Well, I haven't had much to say recently myself, thus my lack of posting. Been playing DCUO like gang busters with my friend and his wife, but I've also been away so I can try to get a jerb.

Nothing wrong with that. I loved the PS2. Still kicking myself for getting rid of mine.  [*no*]
