I'm so harsh toward this flick with my original post, which is sort of funny, as it's not truly a bad flick, just utterly forgettable, as you say.

Really, I think "soulless" is a pretty solid description of it.

I've seen most of the Puppet Master movies, and enjoyed a large amount of them, but that movies looks like it has the potential to be fantastically gory. looks a hoot.

Criminally Insane is the perfect example of a 70's flick - a plot that should be funny being done in deadly serious tone, a short and digestible run-time, and the perfect grindhouse drive-in feel. Given it's just over an hour, I'd recommend checking out this film, because if nothing else, I think you could agree it's certainly amusing in many ways.

What do you think about this cult classic?

While not really a very lively, nor exciting, movie, Dark Echoes has sort of a pre-Fog interesting atmosphere to it. No doubt it oft feels like a television movie, but there is certainly charm, along with some surprisingly decent gore near the end.

Have you any thoughts on this mildly forgotten flick from the 70's?

The youtube video has about 27,000 views, which isn't shabby, but on IMDb, it has only 17 ratings.

Probably in the top 20 movies I've seen with the lowest amount of ratings, now that I think about it.

I'd certainly recommend giving it a go. I don't know about the game, but my brother does, and he said that some of the dialogue comes straight from the source material. He liked the film significantly more than I did, so perhaps you will too.

A found footage flick, of sorts, Ghostwatch is one of the most immersive movies I've ever seen. Originally airing on the BBC Halloween night on 1992, and subsequently banned for ten years, Ghostwatch is a bit difficult to put into words. It uses real television personalities and reporters, and in short, just feels as though it could actually be happening. Fantastic British supernatural movie which I highly recommend.

Have you any thoughts on Ghostwatch?

Based off the classic video game Silent Hill 2, this Spanish movie is an interesting, if not rather flawed, adaptation. That said, I know virtually nothing about Silent Hill 2 - never played it, never seen it played, and that likely influenced my thoughts quite a bit. Still, I found this flick odd - scenes that didn't appear to have context, metaphorical representations I didn't get (which weren't helped by the disjointed nature of the movie), and while they got the dreamy atmosphere down pat, there wasn't much here to really enjoy.

What did you think about this Spanish adaptation of a video game?

You're right, it's not an overly-deep film, which I think works in it's positive, as it's short and easily-digestible, so anyone could give it a go if they have 75 minutes free.

Yeah, I was about to say, the 'whores' in the movie probably wouldn't be quite what you're looking for.

I'm sure they're all perfectly nice gals, though.

With an almost school project feeling to it, this low-budget slasher had a lot of heart. It's nothing stellar, but for a short slasher flick, and one with as ridiculous a name as Jockstrap Slaughterhouse, it's decently enjoyable. I just wish there was a bit more meat to the story, but otherwise, for lower-budget films, this is recommended, if you're not averse to a little silliness.

What did you think of this low-budget slasher flick?

This is a very, shall we say, interesting flick, which ends up being moderately depraved. There are heinous and disgusting acts of torture in this short (around 45 minutes) flick, but with an overlay of slapstick comedy. There's music, jokes, and general silliness. It's an odd combination, but if you don't mind ultra-low quality films, this may be worth checking out.

Have you any opinions on House of Whores?

No, I just found it online somewhere.

Truth be told, though this may not be a surprise, something like 95% of the movies I watch, I watch from less than legit streaming sites. Well, and YouTube, which I guess is a bit more legal.

Other 5% I already have on DVD or found on NetFlix.

I'm guessing that the version they have on Prime would probably be the best one they have access to, so that's something.

Despite a potentially fun plot, this Italian flick, originally titled La bestia uccide a sangue freddo, ends up being both repetitive and rather dull. Sure, if nudity's your thing, then this movie might be right up your alley, but given the weakness of most of the kills, along with the sluggish pace, I just couldn't give it much higher than below average.

What are your feelings on this giallo/softcore porno?

Having seen this movie multiple times (I believe this was my fourth), I can't help but feel, while it does what it set out to do, it's not really stellar or worth-watching in any way. Certainly, you could do worse from the same era of horror, but when it's all said and done, this movie is, at best, just average.

Not related directly to this movie, but were you planning on reviewing all nine Bloodfist movies? Might be a fun time.
