It's certainly not on the same level as the original, but has its quirky moments while Freddy is still scary and not a bumbling, power glove wielding buffoon as he is later reduced to in the franchise sequels.

It's not all that sensical, but I do find this movie fun, and given that I've seen it something like seven or eight times and it still entertains, I guess that's a positive.
