Surprisingly enough, it only has a PG rating despite having some moderately horrific scenes with some blood and an axe kill which I would have thought would surely push its rating up. There is some good torment and nightmarish sequences throughout.

I enjoyed The Bride. Have you seen it?

Horror Talk / Dry Blood (2017)
June 23, 2020, 11:44:13 PM
The trailer got me hyped but I did not enjoy the movie. No noticeable scares in the movie outside of the couple that were featured in the trailer. I am disappoint.  [*angry*]

Has anyone seen Dry Blood?

Horror Talk / The Foreign Exchange Student (2015)
May 09, 2020, 01:27:42 PM
Even though I watched this for free, I still feel like I deserve my money back. The thick Jamaican accents, especially towards the beginning of the movie just had me thinking of Bob Marley n' shit the whole time. It was hard to take seriously. The lead actress did have some big ol' titties and booty though.

Have you ever seen The Foreign Exchange Student?

Horror Talk / The Wretched (2019)
May 09, 2020, 01:25:20 PM
This is one of those movies where if it had been a Netflix Original, it probably would have been given 'da bomb' status. It does have some genuinely suspenseful moments and also had surprisingly better production value than I anticipated, but it just didn't have the knockout punches I was hoping for. They got me on the hook but they weren't able to reel me in.

What do you think of The Wretched?

Horror Talk / The Grudge (2020)
March 04, 2020, 09:26:43 PM
Remake, sequel, reboot... whatever the fuck you wanna call it, it's pretty mediocre BUT I didn't really find it to be worse than any of the other cheap supernatural cash-ins from the past decade.

Anyone else feel like giving this one a go?

Horror Talk / Brahms: The Boy II (2020)
March 04, 2020, 08:11:51 PM
Being someone who doesn't usually let plot inconsistencies get in the way of the ride and going in with super low expectations due to the hate the film has received, I found myself having a moderately enjoyable time with this one. It's pretty standard horror fare, but I enjoy horror movies with dolls... obviously.  [*browwink*]

Have you seen Brahms: The Boy II?

Horror Talk / Jack Frost (1997)
December 23, 2019, 01:53:30 PM
The voice acting by Scott MacDonald is pretty good but I found many of the supporting characters to be rather dull. Jack Frost is a pretty dumb movie, but there's some fun to be had with the silliness of the character and the kills it creates.

Are you a fan of this flick?

Horror Talk / Once Upon a Time at Christmas (2017)
December 23, 2019, 01:34:48 PM
There's some excitement to be had while watching Once Upon a Time at Christmas, but it's all marred by its cheap feel. It isn't a complete waste of time but there are certainly much better Christmas-themed slasher movies out there that deserve your attention before you waste any time trying to watch this one.

Have you bothered to check this one out?

Horror Talk / Black Christmas (2006)
December 15, 2019, 11:45:51 AM
While die-hard fans of the original movie will probably feel quite offended with some of the changes to the general story, I feel that this remake still holds some value as just being a fun, off-the-wall slasher with a bunch of pretty girls involved in plenty of messed up scenes.

Have your views on this Black Christmas remake changed since its initial release?

Horror Talk / Wrinkles the Clown (2019)
December 15, 2019, 11:34:49 AM
I love clown horror, but I don't see the majority of horror fans enjoying this one. There's a few decent shots of the clown standing around, doing what creepy clowns do, but there's no real excitement to be had in the movie. It is about as anticlimactic as they come.

Have you got any thoughts on Wrinkles the Clown?
