Video Games / Games you want to play
February 09, 2013, 05:14:19 AM
What are games that you still want to play but haven't had a chance to/haven't bought yet/haven't finished? Keep in mind, we're strictly talking about games that have already come out.

It's odd for me, because some of the games are games that I want to play, but refuse to for whatever reason:
LA Noire: I own it. I've played it. I just haven't gotten around to finishing it. It's on my list of things to do.

Skyrim: I've been curious to play it but haven't for two reasons. One- the world is so fucking huge, yet doesn't give multiplayer to have friends join (makes me think they did this on purpose to get people hooked for their Elder Scrolls MMO). And two- for some reason I just wasn't as hyped as everyone else when it actually released, even now, I want to give it a chance not because I'm hyped for it, but because I'm just a bit curious. I doubt I'd ever actually play it.

Mass Effect series: This is a game that, on the hole, I have absolutely no problems with. I've watched friends play it and it looks really good. My problem is I simply refuse to touch anything that EA sticks their fingers into. Simply a matter of principle.

FEAR III: I've seen play throughs of it, and while I agree that the plot is kind of 'meh' I've always loved the combat system in FEAR. The enemy AI is just so good compared to most other games I've seen.

That is pretty much all I can think of from the past few years. Every other game that I can think of that's caught my interest I already own or have at least finished it.

Agreed. That's even worse than what the big three pull.

I would take a guess that this news alone would be able to turn off most people who thought about getting one of these to begin with.

I've seen like one or maybe two episodes... I just can't get into it at all.

As for me, TV show I've watched on the actual TV... probably NCIS, but it's been a while so I might be wrong. TV show in general- Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

He's British. How else is he suppose to powder his face properly in the morning?

Quote from: DeraiLer on February 09, 2013, 01:05:37 AMScrew Jason goes to hell. Jason X was bloody fun. Kills. Action. cyborgs. takes place in Space! The series had never been accused of being serious horror since after the first 2 films so why this one gets more flack than the others is beyond me. Just do what it is supposed to do. Give us kills and slam bitches in bags into trees.
You know, I recently re-watched Jason X a little while back, and I had fun with it. There were plenty of moments where you could get a laugh, and the action scenes/kills were all pretty good. I got a kick towards the end where they upgrade the lady bot into a terminatrix. [*laugh*]

Quote from: DrumrbaxJ on February 08, 2013, 04:37:51 AMThe modders for games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls are perfect examples of this, those fabulous folks.
Half Life series is another big one. And those are just a handful too, there are tons of them out there constantly coming up with awesome mods!

I hadn't even heard of this. Can't say I'm surprised though, since Chucky hasn't been relevant in who knows how long.

Quote from: L-Face on February 08, 2013, 03:40:33 AMFE Radio could have been something that "put FE on the map." but I think towards the end of the run of both the original forum and of the show is when Shadow, De, and myself realized that we weren't into horror as much as we had been when the show initially started. As for bringing that back and maybe making it more accessible to people that aren't familiar with the site, that's likely not in the cards. Though, De, Shadow, and I have kicked around a few ideas similar to the show.
Every time I try and think of one good way to get the show up again, I can think of about 2-3 other reasons why I wouldn't work... usually revolving around there being no real outlet for us to easily access new people. That, and networking is a pain in the ass.

Quote from: L-Face on February 07, 2013, 05:42:15 PMThink it was a Bruce Willis decision. From everything I heard, he was calling the shots on Live Free or Die Hard. He figured a PG-13 rating would bring in a wider audience. Not sure how that worked out. At least there was an unrated version that brought the charm of McClane dropping F-bombs back.  [*yes*]
Not sure why there needs to be a rating system, especially for language, anymore. Go on any website or online game and it's usually the kids that are the most foul mouthed.

Quote from: L-Face on February 07, 2013, 03:55:39 PMTrue story. But then there's the people that hack 360 games and cheat just to increase their rankings which saps the fun out of games.
There is a difference between community driven mods, and shit eating hackers, though. And regardless of the style of the network, there will be hackers anyhow.

Quote from: gorefan1428 on February 07, 2013, 01:39:02 PM1. supernatural
2. psych
3. walking dead
4. burn notice
5. back and forth between grimm and criminal minds
All fine choices. I'm sort of on the same boat as L, though, the only show I actually watch on TV is Walking Dead. Everything else I watch on Netflix or something else. I'll take a look at the things I watched before and make a list after a little while.
