I'm Jigsaw. Joined way too young, did stupid things, and made a comeback, attempting to be more serious and chat it up when it comes to horror.

In my non-horror life, I'm passionate about politics, comic books, and music. Currently, I am a Freshman in College with a major in Political Science.

I've been on FE on and off since somewhere between 2005-2007 (really don't know - I lurked a long time before joining).

De's coming back? Fantastic. As sad as it is, he's one of the old members I miss the most.

That's just the stockholm syndrome kicking in.

I've forgotten how many FE members have kids now. How are they all doing and when do we get to scar them for life?

There was one part in a garage where they teased a lot of weapons (even hockey stick I think), and none of them where I used. I forgot how the guy died.

The makers of the film would probably argue it just adds suspense.

If you hate remakes, odds are they get your attention and you watch them in order to hate them.  Personally, last remake I've watched from the past decade was Halloween.

The Friday the 13th remake was pretty decent (not amazing, but okay), though. Of course, it didn't really feel like a remake, so that's probably why.

Didn't really feel like a Friday the 13th film either.

What were your main issues with it?

I have my qualms, of course, but overall, I found it passable.

Not always true, though I admit, in some cases, I know pretty well I won't enjoy them (case in point: My Bloody Valentine remake).

Evil Dead is not something that I found entertaining outside of the horror aspect (in other words, the humor side did virtually nothing for me).
Does the trailer look like an Evil Dead movie or a Platinum Dunes movie?

And to address your question, I'm not sure, as off the top of my head, I can't recite other movies done by Platinum Dunes.

If it's a remake of a New Line film, then it's likely a Platinum Dunes film.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), then?

Actually, I think Halloween II (Rob Zombie) started out great, I thought. First 20 minutes in the hospital were quick-paced and enjoyable. Once we realized it was a dream, though, all love for the film went out the window.

I knew it was a dream sequence out of the gate and was just waiting for the reveal. But it just kept going and going. So I was pissed right out of the gate and it just got worse from there.

I at first thought it was a dream sequence, but then I thought as it dragged on that there was no way they'd make a dream sequence this long. After I found out, believe you me, I was extremely annoyed.

Indeed, Flesh Freaks (2000) and Motor Home Massacre (2005) were extremely low quality, and while not amazing, were semi-fun to watch.
