What are your qualms with it, Jasonz?

Enough remakes that it can't get my attention for that.
Evil Dead is not something that I found entertaining outside of the horror aspect (in other words, the humor side did virtually nothing for me).
Does the trailer look like an Evil Dead movie or a Platinum Dunes movie?

I think it would take some effort to get me to care about this movie.

Wasn't good enough to use? What else was it gonna do, be original? They knew they didn't have the talent on that project for that. And if it's one thing that I think all can respect, it's knowing your own limitations. Far too many nowadays think they are so fucking witty with their "twists" or other garbage. This, they knew exactly what it had in the tank, that's commendable and you know it, JZ.

They could have written a linear plot that made sense, or tried to act, or not rip off lines directly from the first film, or casted somebody for Pinhead that didn't look like he was picked up at the bar for $10.

Before De gets here let's get this out of the way... yes.

It says something about the community we've got here that we've got this much activity after over a year of inactivity.

I'll just leave it at losing my girlfriend, my car, my job, and my right nut, all since June, and leave it at that.

A Nightmare on Elm Street is still the reigning kind in terms of my favorite horror movie- probably my favorite movie of all times.  There's a lot of competition, though, with at least 6 other horror movies in my top 15 films.

I will defend Hellraiser Revelations, at least sparingly. Yes, it was kinda crap and low budget out the ass, BUT, I liked that it tried to hark back to original in the series. And the incest angle was fucking hot! Was there incest in those other crap DTV sequels? No? Thought not!  ;D

It tried to hark back by directly ripping off lines that it wasn't good enough to use.  Fuck that.

Fuck Dude, I've had a shitty year.  I could go on about what's happened since we last had a forum, but I really don't think anyone wants to hear me bitch and moan.

I've already been planning to redo a ton of my reviews.  I've got a lot of plans for 2014, and with another big change that's affecting my work this week, I'm going to need to put a lot of thought into what I do with it from here.

It was essentially "Hey, we've got to make a Hellraiser movie by the end of 2011 or we lose the rights." "Okay, here's a couple Gs.  Go make something".

I got home and warned every teenager I saw that it was not the day for teens to speak to me or they might get socked in the mouth.
